  1.  How do I schedule an appointment?
    - Fill out our appointment form.

  2. What's included/involved in a p/m and oil change?
    - Synthetic oil
    - high micron,
    - Baldwin filter
    - fuel filters
    - contact filters
    - lube
    - 50 point vehicle inspection
    - D.O.T. compliance

  3. What is the importance of having my equipment serviced regularly?
    - Keep cost of maintenance repairs down. Limitdown time due to catching normal wear items. eg: U-joints, wiper blades, etc. . .

  4. How often should I service my Equipment?
    - It can vary because of usage, mileage, make, condition, type of oil, results of oil analysis.

  5. What is the benefit of Synthetic lubricants?
    - Extended Service intervals, cooler running engine.

  6. What’s the benefit of an oil analysis?
    - Shows contaminant sources. ie: dirt, antifreeze, fuel, iron(cylinder, crank), cromium(rings, bearings), lead(additive), copper(bushings, bearings), aluminum(pistons, blowers), nickel(valves)

  7. When should I & what should I inspect on my equipment?
    - Equipment should be checked before daily operation. All fludis, tires, stearing components, lights & reflectors, brakes, horns, mirrors, DOT stickers.

  8. Are all brake linings the same?
    - No! metallic brake shoe block depicts higher metallic, longer shoe life, better brakes - more drum wear. We use onlyupper grade brake linings.

  9. What should I look for when inspecting my brakes
    - Cracks.
    - heat stress in the drums. No cracks within 1/2" of each other.
    - leaks (air or hydraulic).
    - Shoe thickness not past wear indicator.

  10. What’s the importance of all lights/reflectors working properly?
    - Safety & D.O.T. compliancy.

  11. Can I change from non-synthetic to synthetic oil without engine damage?
    - Yes, see link.

  12. I’ve used other shops in town why should I use Newmans?
    - Newmans exceeds industry standards with high quality parts & materials.

  13. Another shop wants me to sign a contract for p/m service, is this a good idea?
    - No! Any company that needs a contract doesn't care about satisfaction. We don't need a contract. You will come back because you want to.
